Bayfield VacationThe owner of a rental cottage in Bayfield, WI, was looking for a way to advertise his rental on his own, outside of the agency that books the reservations. As the owner of a sailboat at a nearby marina, he thought he might be able to kill two birds with one stone by advertising the cottage and the sailboat together. How We Got StartedWe designed a site that gives equal attention to the cottage and the sailboat, and also worked with the local chamber of commerce (which gets a ton of traffic) to get a link from their site to the Bayfield Vacation site. Our hope was that people interested in the area would be an easy sell to rent a cottage and go sailing! Project ResultsFor a site that had never existed before, the Bayfield Vacation site immediately started getting heavy traffic from the chamber of commerce site, and began increasing reservations within two months of site launch. |
